I heard a story recently about 3 bricklayers working on a particular job together...A gentleman went to the first bricklayer and asked him what he was doing...the answer...I'm laying brick. He went to the second and asked the same question...the answer...I'm making 18 bucks an hour. He went to the third bricklayer and asked the question one more time...the answer...I'm building a cathedral. Which bricklayer do you think went on to great things and which 2 bricklayers are still laying bricks???

Are You Ready for Revival?
Apparently God wants me up tonight or I would be free of this heartburn and in bed! In light of this fact I thought I would post something God has had on my heart...
We need revival. This is a simple enough statement and most Christians would agree with such sentiment. How do we have revival? Is revival a product of God's sovereignty or are there things we can do which will usher in revival? This is a very old question and has been answered by many Christ loving people in different ways.
As for me, I believe revival is a product of both our choice AND the sovereignty of God. Now, before you accuse me of sitting on the fence consider a few things with me. First, 2 Chronicles clearly tells us if Christians will confess their sin, turn from sin and humbly seek God He will heal their land. Now how or when this healing actually happens is a product of God's sovereignty. Sometimes God delays the answer to our prayers in order to build in us the character of Christ. But the point remains...if we humble ourselves before God, admit our sin and turn to Him He will heal our life.
All of this seems terribly simple doesn't it? To experience revival (by the way revival is a recovery of passion for God and obedience to God and His way of doing things) we must humble ourselves, turn from sin and seek God...He will then answer and bring revival.
Have you positioned yourself to experience real life change? Have you positioned yourself to receive revival?
